This online Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed for biohazard remediation professionals and other workers who may encounter blood, bodily fluids, sharps, contaminated materials, equipment, vehicles, structures, and other potentially infectious materials during the performance of their duties.
The course covers occupational exposure risks, routes of exposure, Universal Precautions, personal protective equipment, sharps safety, cross-contamination prevention, cleaning and decontamination principles, and appropriate response following an exposure incident.
Industry-specific scenarios demonstrate how bloodborne pathogen exposure can occur during trauma scene remediation, unattended death cleanup, vehicle decontamination, sharps handling, waste handling, and other biohazard remediation activities.
